Watch me, nearly all stock, lose to a built mustang (H/C/I etc)

My 98z28 = 3.73, No muffler, SLP Cold air intake, and EFI live to correct the tire size...

He did a good job conning me into the race.
The previous weekend he was running 14.3 in the 1/4
Then he did an engine swap to a built 5.0 & Didn't tell me anything,
Told me to come out and race the 14.3 car.
So I did and he ran a 13.11... what a bitch, lol, it's all in good fun though.

The guy that drives the Monster car is a friend of mine,
And the engine he pulled was from his other mustang, seen here ( http://motownmuscle.com/forums/showthread.php?t=72464 )

Damn mustang club (all his / my friends) got a kick out of that one.

They won't be so lucky next time. :icon_wink

Nope, just my word that I could beat his Mustang.
Which makes sense when it was running 14's, then he changes engine, and runs low 13's.

To conn me into it he said, "Come out to the track, if you beat me, I'll re-reimburse what you paid to get in / race."

I was thinking I had him in the bag the whole time.
Guess not, lol!

I'm working on getting a FAST intake currently.

I was thinking Long tubes and FAST 90 at the same time.
A cam is definitely in the works...
I wanted to buy heads / cam as a package though.

***Does anyone know anyone who can work over my stock LS1 heads?

Ya, it's not built with super high dollar parts or anything.
I think it's got ford racing heads, edelbrock victor jr intake, generic headers, not sure on the cam.
 
I have seen spare parts engines run in the 11's

My old boss ran in the 10's with a worn out 383 mopar. stock pistons, good cam, offenhauser intake. and ported heads.
