Monster Jam

Thinking about taking the kids to Monster Jam but I've never been to Ford Field. I figured some of you guys have gone before, where should we be looking at sitting? Are the ends better than the sidelines?

Second level on the rail was perfect for my boys.

Just a warning take ear muffs for them because they are $20 a pair at the show. I had free tickets last year and it still cost me over a hundred dollars for the me and three kids under 12. Eat before you go in.

Sides are the best for the show, I'm trying to get second level for march 4th. Skipping Jan 28th. Better truck line up in march if you ask me. Been going to these things for years, I can't get enough of them haha.

Thanks for the advice, I'll look for a front row seat in any section that makes a lot of sense since they're still pretty small. I did see the March show had better trucks but I was told that we already have plans that weekend  so I'm stuck with January. At least Grave Digger will be there.

Do you know if pit passes are included? The website says something about going to a metro pcs store or something to get them.

You can buy pit passes on the ford field website for $10.00 a pass or go to metro PCS for free ones. I personally buy mine so know I have them. I only go to one show a year so its worth it to me to buy them.

I just bought tickets for me and th kids. Im confused about the pit passes though. It says the pit party opens at 2:30 but even if you have pit passes you can be denied due to limited space? This doesn't seem right to me. What are some tips I need to knwo so that I am sure to get in the pits? And anyo ther tips would be apprecitated (other than the usual bring headphones, eat before you get there).

For the pit party, they had all of the trucks down on the floor and you could walk up to one side. They also had lines to meet the drivers on the other side of the trucks, some went up into the stands - we probably waited 20-25 minutes for grave digger. You have to bring something to have them sign as well, my kids had their headphones signed. When we left to go get something to eat, we found out that we needed rentry tickets and I think they stopped handing them out around 5:00 or so. We parked in the Ford parking deck and leaving that thing was a disaster and took forever.

Well that is any event you go to. No re-entry and leaving is a pain. Not sure what you expected. It comes with the territory. Maybe if you went lat 80's early 90's yeah things where different. They used to do after show autographs after the shows but idk if they do that anymore.

Get there on time for the pit party. Its really a first come first serve type basis. I have never been denied for the pit party. Since its really the only thing major i do all year i spend the $15.00 for the ford field parking and money on good tickets. Hell i even pay for pit passes so I'm guaranteed access for the floor. What angers me, is they used to do family passes that i would by for my friends and I and they did stop doing that.
