Modded GT500 vs modded Camaro SS

Man you guys are rough! I'm telling you, the new GT500 is a really nice car. It may be the most expensive Mustang ever but it's also the BEST Mustang ever. It really feels more like a luxury car than an "old pony car".

BTW, check out the Edmund's video comparison between the Hennessey Camaro and the GT500. Pretty solid nod to the Ford. And the Hennessey starts at around 60K not 48K. I think its pretty bad ass too.

Not trying to defend the GT500 owners just trying to give a personal perspective.

2010 GT500 is about $46K MSRP right?
Wasn't the 2000 Cobra R about $55K or so?

Yeah, and a 95 Cobra R was $37599. And a 1992 SAAC MK I Mustang was $39,995. And a 1998 Saleen S351 Mustang was $56,990. And a 2010 Roush 427R Mustang is $54,146. Oh, but I've gotten in the weeds (with you).:thumbsup:

Look up the 1992 Firebird Firehawk CP. It's a super cool car but at $49,990 it wasn't much bang for the buck.

Point is, todays cars deliver so much more while complying with increased regulations on NVH, safety, emissions and fuel economy. Long live the muscle car!

Why not when the Camaro is fitted with a blower and is priced at at least 10K less?

This is a dumb arguement if you're going to modify the camaro to compare it to the GT500. There are GT500's going *8's* on the stock engine with turbos and deep in the 9s with the stock engine with more boost. If you don't compare them stock you can't really compare them.

I agree 100%, compare stock for stock, but it was a reply to his question, they were comparing two modded cars so the stock vs stock issue is moot in this case :D

Can we talk about how "modded" is a term that Autozone shoppers use? I bet that Camaro has an LED shift knob! +15 rwhp baby!!
