I was just watching the race from last weekend on SPEED and seen this horrible crash of Mike Alessi.

Motocross Action said:
Rockstar Makita Suzuki factory rider Mike Alessi suffered a horrific crash at the start of the final 450cc moto at round 5 of the AMA Toyota Outdoor Motocross Championships in Buchanan, Michigan.

Alessi sustained fractures to both scapulas, broken ribs and a bruised lung. He has been released from the hospital and will return to Southern California to see his personal physician.

Once Mike consults with his personal physician, he will have a better idea of an expected date on his return to racing.

They are cocky! His little brother isn't too bad though. I don't care who it is, I don't wish a wreck and injuries like that on anyone. Believe me, it sucks! I spend 2 weeks in the hospital with a broken back and internal bleeding because of a motocross accident.

ya, i agree. don't mis-understand me, i think it's terrible what happened to him. but he's still a tool. jeff def. seems much better, for sure....

if i was the corner worker, i would have walked over and stood on him.

i hate that little prick. i'm glad he's going to be ok though... i guess.

the corner workers/flaggers are instructed not to move a downed rider like that. with the vast amount of neck and spine injuries racers get it's better to let the pros handle them.

I understand that! My question is, is there medical staff at these events? I never saw any MEDICAL help come. The flag/corner guy did not appear to be a medic.
