Well its on my uncles car he got a motor and trans from a car the guy ran a motor plate so he is running the plate but for some reasion when we bolt the trans up the converter hits the flywheel and binds up. Any advice:punchball

Thats what we were thinking it locked down 3 times and wont go any more and the converter was just all redone and so was the trans

Is he using the actual midplate from the other guy?
some plates are 1/4 inch and some are 1/8 inch. If you try using a converter with mounting lugs or spacers setup for a 1/4 inch plate but you have an 1/8 inch plate thats a possible 1/8" or so bind right there.
Just a thought.
Good luck

converter is not engaged into the pump all the way or the torqueconverter is too tall for the mid plate you are using (someone manufactured the converter for a thicker mid plate like btrracerars said)
Do you have a "stock" torqueconverter to try it with or to compare the height of the converter with. If not pm ridings and have him measure the converter your using to see how tall someone made it.
