Honestly, I'd never done a roadtrip in a car that had character and was so enjoyable to drive. Blasting down beautifully scenic Michigan roads with good friends listening to a stellar playlist and soundtrack of a 6.1L V8 and a 2.4L Turbo. It was so nice to just drive and not worry about your watch or time constraints. It was so enjoyable.. and cheap too. I got around 30 mpgs and my buddy with the SRT-8 got 20. 900 miles of smiles.

So it was like combining the worry free PT with the R/T and the balls out PT with the Mother of Violence and rolling them into one?

yeah.. the power tour was almost too structured though

Maybe, but I think part of that was our fault. I think we did a better job the second time around of doing our own thing and still being part of the event. The first time was just a cluster!@#!# of broken cars and dreams.

But you're right, nothing beats just hitting the road with no time frame or expectations.
