Mexican 302 block vs. Late model 302 roller block

You guys should seriously consider changing to a windsor, I know a lot of people who broke those mexican blocks.

did you look ? tight budget and fast usually don't equal sucess.

LOL! That is true. For now I have to work with what I have. It sucks for sure but it is what it is. Some day I'll throw a good windsor together but now isn't the time for me. I tried to sell off my 331 short block a while back but nobody seemed interested in it at all. I was asking $1700 or best for it which seemed pretty reasonable to me. If I could sell that I would start piecing together a good windsor. Nobody wants it though.

I turned all this up in like 5 seconds of looking.

Deals are out there if you look around.
Yeah, those are good deals. I hate being broke damnit! I wish my wife would get done with school! (I'm supporting her right now) She will be finished around spring time. I should be able to assemble something good after that.
I'm thinking a nice streetable 408 or bigger with my high ports and a solid roller...... I can dream for now LOL!

so grab a rotating kit some flat tops "if you have the small chamber highports" build a 12:1 408 with a crank rods and pistons in a stock block.

It's not like the racing season is going to last more then another 2-3 weeks anyways. So save your $$ and build up a good engine the right way so you don't have to visit broken alley. It'll cost less in the long run anyways.

check Yellowbullet. I bet there is a stock windsor block for sale right now for cheap.

I have the 64cc chamber high ports. They have been HEAVILY ported though. I still wanna be able to run pump gas so if I do build a 408 I'll probably keep it at around 10:1 or 11:1 at most. I have a 69 windsor block already but thats it. If I could get a decent amount for my 331 short block i'd sell it right now and start piecing the windsor together but people want it for free ya' know. Know anyone who wants a 331.....LOL!
