Metering Blocks

Well I seem to have a warped metering block, or something close issed: For some unknown reason my carb leaks when ever it feels like it, its also low on Vacuum. When I pull the rear bowl the gasket is clean and dry as when I pull the front bowl the gasket is wet and the power valve is soaked... also I noticed when I shut the car off it gives me a little whistle and it 'steams' from the front of the carb. I've changed gaskets in the carb, intake, baseplate... Every vacuum line is connected. I changed over to a Proform mainbody because I stripped the mainbody before :faint: I wonder if that could cause the metering block to warp? I had this very same problem with the last mainbody set up.

Have you checked to see if the airbleeds are plugged up ?

The air bleeds up front are small 36's. But when I put the bigger bleeds in the only thing that changes is the idle, it still leaks and whistles.

Well to be honest this did not start until I stripped one of the threads on the Main body (Top left). I used an epoxy and tapped it again and it never worked right from that point on. Now its doing the same thing with the new Main body. I am gonna head over a friends house and borrow one off him to see if infact that is the problem.
