I'm so glad I got to see Pantera a few times before there was absolutely no chance. What a sad, sorry, and messed up event that took his life.

My best friend played a few shows with them and was pretty good friends with Dime. We were supposed to go see Damageplan the next night in Flint at The Machine Shop. He called me in tears. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was upset. He was crushed. You will never find anybody with a bad word to say about Dimebag (that actually knew him, that is).

my friend that I just mentioned was there for that. He gave me one of the Dimebag "getcha pull" bracelets that they passed out.
 
:( RIP. What a sad day it was when I saw on the news that he had been shot.


I got to see his Guitar down in Biloxi at the Hard Rock. A couple days before it was scheduled to open, Katrina hit. Dimebag's guitar was washed away, but it was returned in time for the second opening. I took a picture of the guitar while I was down there, but once loaded to my computer the whole image was blurry. Every other picture turned out great. I thought that was odd as I made sure to keep a steady hand. The picture even looked great on the camera's screen.
