What places do you remember from your youth that are no longer around.

Here is mine

Fort George Drive In in Southgate off of Fort Street. If I remember right it is where Meijer and Sonic is now.

I remember being around age 5 or 6 and sitting on the hood of my parents car at this place.....


Now its home to Russ Milne Ford i belive...and a 7/11 gas station. Right on the corner of Hall Rd. and Gratiot....

yeah, I remember in the real early 90s, going there with my parents, and me and my brother would lay down on the roof of my dads beretta with our pillows and watch the movie. I remember going there to see Honey I shrunk the Kids. We were so small we didnt even dent the roof
 
I remember an A & W in Mt. Clemens. We would go there every once in a while. I got a really small thick glass mug from there, it was cool! I think it was located by the hayloft or around there??

lol, i remember seeing that there too. and teenage mutant ninja turtles. and a few others i cant remember.

hell yeah i remember that place. i lived a mile from there. used to sit on top of my dad's mini van. my dickhead cousin, who will remain nameless (cough,cough 82coupe351) even took me there when i was younger but MADE me sit on the roof so he could try and get a piece of ass from some slut he brought with him lol
 
Michigan will never have any cool places like that again. Nowhere to take the kids that I don't have yet, to make some memories. :shake:

They runied everything around here.


BTW...WHERE WAS the old Detroit Dragway??? That was way before my time. When did it close?

It was close to Sibley road and I75, im not sure when it closed.
