I'm meeting the Woodward lot owner on Monday to pay for the lot in full out of pocket. Having what will be a 6 month old baby in addition to all of the work it takes to get the food together etc. we've discussed different food ideas the past few years.

I'll figure out pricing asap once we get some ideas, i'm sure i can bring water/canopies/chips etc. but want to avoid the big grills/hamburgers/hot dogs/etc. just to make this easier and so i can spend more time hanging out with everyone quite frankly.

I was thinking lunch time we could get some subs(I saw Kroger has 6ft subs i think they were for like $30 something dollars) or jimmy johns sandwiches or whatever other ideas you guys are open to.

Dinner time maybe we find a pizza place nearby(hot and ready's?) or something else easy. I'm open to whatever you guys want to do but just need some additional ideas asap so we can figure out per person cost.

I just wanted to volunteer to pick up lunch and/or dinner for us.

These were a couple ideas I had posted in the admin fourm:

Alright so I did some thinking over the weekend and here's what I came up with:

For lunch:

Deli sliders - various lunch meat "sliders" on rolls which the wife and I will prep the day before and we can keep in coolers to put out as needed
Toppings for those
Chips
Cookies
Salad

All of that the wife and I would prep the day before and we'd just have to put it out. We can even keep it at my house in my 2nd fridge and run it up at lunch time. I'm only about 10 mins from the lot.

Dinner:

Again the wife and I are willing to go pick up something and bring it up.

- Captain Jays is fairly close and its really pretty good for cheap. We can get a 50 pc of chicken for $40. Do a few of those and some sides of mac and cheese, cole slaw, ect

- Qdoba is an option. They provide sternos to keep everything hot

- Pizza. Probably the easiest option

Either Kroger subs or Jimmy Johns for lunch and pizza for dinner is a super easy and solid plan.

Can I suggest maybe looking into a lot up in Pontiac Next year for the D.C.? I will make it then I promise... lol

Party subs sound great. And I just looked and there's a little caesars on cooledge just north of 11, so that would be an easy run down Borgman later in the day.

Between that and the pot-luck we always do, I think we'd be good.

Our lot is perfect for those that attend it. It’s not a zoo of clowns. Other than the clowns that pay for the spot

Come by the lot at the dance studio just south of 13. You'll see the difference. Not many clowns, beside Sal....

I've said I'd move for years if someone can find something similar price/lot size but no one ever has. Until that year comes I'll stick to what had worked for 10+ years where the lot owner calls me and says "we good for this year again?"

So back to "main" food ideas, any other suggestions?
