are there any furnace guys here thank can help me. my furnace is acting like a piece of shit again. every winter i have to have someone come out and fix my furnace and its always the damm burner sensor they clean or something whatever gets dirty they clean it and it works great. the problem is my temp will drop down to like 68 and my thermostat will be set at 75 and then like hours later it will kick on and run for ever to get back up to the set temp it just started doing it like 2 days ago. and go figure 2 days ago it started getting cold.

well i just put new batteries in the stat and i think they were dead im gonna wait and see when the temp drops down if it kicks it back on. it was saying it was 76 in the house but when i replaced the batteries it turned off and on real quick and it said it was 71 so i think the batteries were dead. lol i hope so atleast. i hate paying 160 bucks for a guy to be in my house for 10 mins.

nope no good did it again so i took the ignitor sensor out and sanded it clean like they say to do and put it back in well see now .

Had a similar issue after installing a new set up in my house. Alot of newer Electronice thermostats have differnt setting on them for different style furnaces. I read through my instruction book from my new stat and found it wasn't set for the style of furnace i had or something along those lines i forget. But make sure to rea up on the thermostat and make sure everything is set right.

Cheap electronic tstats suck. Buy a good one you can adjust the heat anticipator. If your flame sensor keeps acting up buy a new one they only cost about $30.

cleaning the flame sensor is a temporary fix, it should have been replaced

and you shouldnt sand the flame sensor, use a dollar bill, or, worst case, fine steel wool
