On a 92 Mustang GT does the charcoal canister effect the fuel in any way? I know it vents the fuems from the fuel system, but if the vent line is not connected to the canister will it effect fuel pressure and such?
it should not effect pressure unless the tank is short on venting. If it is, the vaccum can cuase the fuel to boil and it will lower the fuel pressure and that is really really iffy BTW. Now if the tank become a big vaccum the pump will simply struggle to much to make pressure and that will cuase a drop in fuel pressure. If you fuel pressure is falling off most like you have a pump or regulator problem.
I've seen them where the charcoal has deteriorated and ended up back in the fuel tank plugging shit up. Are you having a fuel pressure problem?
I was wondering the same thing I want to remove mine strictaly for cosmetic reasons, I can just cap the port on the motor, but what about the tank side? cap it and vent the gas cap?
Ok guys, I'm still having fuel problems. Its still running rich as a pig and the FP is only at 30psi. I might jusrt try the stock one for now. I'm lost
Blue can you swing it by tommorow afternoon around 5-6pm ? I could take a quick peak.
I would love to, but the car isn't driveable. My parent's house isn't too far from your shop though at Tele and Orchard lake. I don't get off work untill 7:30 though.
call the shop around that time. I should be able to come and take a quick peak as long as you don't mind picking me up and dropping me off.
Stuck injector or torn Regulator...
