Mark Freeman. best ktm rider

Is there more to it? I like the ARiemann1 vids mainly on a 300EXC. That or a 380cc version would be fun in a quad...or a 690 4 stroke. Woukd it be similar to a Raptor 700?? Maybe.

Have you heard anything about the ktm 525sx. I'm looking into getting a 2005. I've rode a little but not a ton of experience. it is street legal has light kit I'm looking for street and trail use.
 
That's what I'm after right now... Either a DR650 or an XR650R beast.. The street legal KTM's 450/500/505/520/525's are usually out of my budget range so I dont know much about them. I do know they only carry a SMALL amount of oil compared to a more street-going model like a 620/640/670/690... The MX bike cams might be a bit more aggressive also leading to more wrenching/parts wear. Myth?? maybe... The small parts I bought for my 300EXC were PRICEY so I assume all KTM parts are pricey...I'm Also considering a CR/KX/WR 500 2 stroke. My buddy street titled his WR500 2 stroke and it's a riot.

Another "bike to have" is a Husky 610 I've noticed while reading some sites like ADVrider.com.

from what I've read the ktm 525sx mx bikes are the same motor as they use in the 525exc which is the street legal enduro version i believe. i guess theres only one way to find out how it acts. I'm looking for something to cruise around on the streets with but also go on the trails with friends to

I had a 12' KTM 500 EXC. Most fun I've had standing up. I sold it to fund another project but will buy another one someday. The 525EXC has a 6 spd gearbox, vs 5 on the SX models. Find an EXC if you want to street drive it. If you plan on driving it alot on the road look into a kush hub (sp?) it needs a dampened hub or it will ruin the splines on the drive sprocket.

The one I'm looking at is an 05 and it comes with a 4 speed but 5th and 6th gear has been added. I would get the supermoto wheels for It to for the streets. They would have hubs I'm guessing that are streetable
