Manual Steering Rack

Looking for a manual rack for a 79-93 Mustang. Hoping to find one before I have to spring for a new one.
 
I think it was johnquick that said you can get them from autozone for like $80for an OEM manual steer 4 cylinder mustang. I think thats what i will be doing rather than spending $400+ on an aftermarket.

DING DING DING, that's what were doing for a project car.

They've went up. I work at Autozone and they're special order $130ish plus core. Got a good deal on a used one though. Called around and some places couldn't even order them.

I bought a few of them at Murry's and they always had them in stock. I believe I paid $100 or so plus a core.

Seems they went up for some reason. :dunno:
 
I need part numbers. I went to the dealer and the ford part is not able to be ordered. If you can get me some part numbers that would be great.

I'll try to get some part#'s from who we order from. Ran into the same thing on the inner boot-couldn't order it from the dealer.

You're gonna need the steering shaft. I'm going to go a aftermarket one so I'll have more header clearance. Checked at work and they list th same tie rod ends for power or manual steering.
 
I went to detriot speed shop and they wanted a ton for that kit.....I think the shaft was 80 bucks.
