where do you guys go to get your heads freshened In metro Detroit? My guy has thrown in the towel after 40 years. Time to find a new place.
 
Depends what you want done. I do basic valve jobs on heads at a shop I work at in Livonia. No port or polishing. Just a simple degrease, grind seas and valves, new seals and reassembly.

If you are looking for basic machine work and rebuilding (not a drag engine), D & S Engine Specialists in Clawson is very good and reasonable. 248-583-9240
 
We do work on just about anything automotive in the machine/cylinder head shop here. Late model only on the install side. Our cylinder head department is very efficient here. Most work is turned in less than 10 business days.
