LS1 Tuner for boost?

Can anyone recommend a tuner in South East Michigan for a good turbo tune? Been a long time lurker here but usually post over at some of the other boards.

I just picked up a 2005 Sierra Denali with a forged 370 with a Livernois tubular turbo kit and a HP71 turbo.

It's currently running a 4L80E with the AWD. I know HP Tuners handled the segment swap for the tune for the 4L80E and that it is currently running a speed density custom 2-bar OS from HPTuners that was done by Speed Inc. The guy I bought it from said there were a few quirks in the tune and that I should get it checked out.

It's currently pushing 9psi with current spring in the wastegate and I'm seeing 10.0~10.2 afr at partial throttle and 10.8~11.2 afr at WOT. The guy I bought it from said the tune was done at about 13~14psi on a stock motor and a PT70GTS (before they blew up, motor popped a piston and took out the turbo). Sounds like nothing was changed in the tune for the new turbo and forged 370.

I'll be swapping it to a 4wd transfer case so I can lock it in 2WD to get the tuning done on a dyno. Also plan on adding a boost controller before I go in for the tune as well.

Looking for a tuner that will actually go through the tune, get idle, partial throttle, and WOT all spot on and not just a PE table rape like my last four tunes. From what I've found so far, my top three picks in no particular order are: Baker Engineering in Grand Rapids, Sean at C.A.R.S. and Lidio over at Alternative. Lidio is by far the most convenient since I'm only a few minutes from his shop but it seems like he is mostly a Mustang shop, but I'm willing to drive for a good tuner.

cool ride, more details/pics??

Why wouldnt you take it to livernois? Millens tuned my boosted car..and has always helped me out when i needed it. It take livernois over any of your other choices. just my .02

I've been researching tuners in Michigan, and the three in my original post are the ones that I have found the most positive reviews for. I haven't seen anything negative about livernois, but I haven't seen much positive either, at least not like the other tuners. I've also heard they are quite expensive, no reason to over spend if I can get a quality tune somewhere else, but I do understand that you get what you pay for to a certain extent.

Cant beat Dr Phils tunes, but at Livernois, they have an AWD dyno, so at least you wouldnt have to swap your transfer case

Where are you researching? Livernois is known all over the place. Like you said, i wouldnt skimp on a tune. There are plenty of guys here that have had their cars tuned there. Like i said..Millen tuned mine, cruised on the streets daily, raced at the track. Havnt had any issues. Any questions i had..millen was quick to assure me with a solid answer.

You can also take your truck directly to phil i believe. Ive seen and heard nothing but good things about him from multiple people.

Was that Hunter's brother's old truck (think his name is Reed)? I remember he had a built up Sierra at one point in time.
