ls1 help

got my first ls1. it's in a 1998 z28. paid $1,500 for it. only proble is it only revs in neutral as soon at it is in gear it wont go over 3500, then slowly tapers down.
i replaced the fuel filter, checked the fuel pump, the fuel return vaccume and pressure regulator.

this is my first one of these, so i am a noob with this, dont rip me to bad. but anyone know what is going on?

okay turns out look in the trunk find old dead puel pump. so it's the fuel pump. will be replaced with granetelli unit next week.

$1500 is a ridiculously good price. Normally you can't even find a car that doesnt have rust for that price!
