Looking to upgrade from the current turbocharger, lets discuss!

As of current I was using a holset hx40 60mm pushing over 400cHP and am looking to go with something that is more compact, is durable, will spool faster, and remains externally gated with only oil cooled options (if going thrust bearing design). I do not need the turbo right away, however, I'd like it within 1 month after purchase when I do decide to make the purchase.
Currently I am eyeing up Precision's stuff, but am open to anything if it checks all the boxes that can support 600cHP

That's a v6 motor. So depending on how your feed pipes are setup , look at Borg Warner units. The s259 may be on the small side and u would have to run more boost to hit 600 but you could. The s300 series would be better suited and really not at all pricey. Look around at Borg Warner compressor maps( if U know how to read them ). If not, post back and I can help u as best as I can

I have pretty much logs that step up to the crossover to feed the turbocharger. How much smaller is the s300 compared to the holset 35's as far as physical size goes? Are they oil only cooled? External gated?

Thanks for the reply!

If tuning was simpler I'd re-entertain that avenue. When I tried a small t25 I sprayed it and the results were not bad but I am going full Turbo and going bigger better. Enough of this juice talk! Turbo talk!!!!!

Size I would say they are similar. I don't have a comparison shot but I was running a s259 on my fwd sr20. I do have pics of that I could give u for size. I also have a pic of a s300 next to a gt30 and a hx52.

wish I had all that available space :(

The red car was a budget build ( sub 1600 total) and trapped 126mph in the quarter. The Maxima never Dyno'd or ran at the strip. Drove it. Gunned it at 100mph. Broke a set of 265/30/18 etII's loose. I went home. Parted the car. The motor is in a car in md and he is over 680whp with it.

I had to cut stuff in both cars to make room

I've always did budget builds. Just looking to do this once and done. I didnt mind the results of what I had, but I felt it could be better maybe even supporting a mm vendor if possible.

That's cool if u want to support. More power to you. I support my pockets and who can get me the best deal. Most times eBay. I really don't care about rep either. I want the part I buy to work. If two will work and one is a fraction of the cost, Better believe I'm going for cheap.
