Looking to get a Bimini top for my boat...

Hoping we have some experience boat guys here. I've got a 17.5' runabout (bowrider, I/O) that I want to put a Bimini top on. The factory convertible top that comes it with is too low, I want something I can stand under. Anyway, I've been looking at universal ones and talking to people about them and most people say you can't buy a quality off the shelf one, it's best to have one made. Of course, nobody has told me who makes them. I'm in the downriver area but I'd travel a bit to take the boat somewhere that does quality work. Anybody here ever dealt with this? The problem I have with the aftermarket one's is they're made of cheap materials, like the bows are made from think aluminum and bend up like a tin can, and most of them use cheap nylon mounting points that break easily. I want something the uses stainless for the bows and uses good quality covering. I'm sure I'm asking a lot in today's world...

I have an awesome factory one with Sunbrella cloth (the good stuff) that I took off my center console boat, and put a T Top on. It's navy blue in color, and in great shape. It's adjustable, so the posts can be raised or lowered to suit your needs. It is thick aluminum, and all the hardware on it is stainless steel. You will need some small hardware pieces that the straps latch to, but any marine supplier will have them. It is just the small hooks in the rear for the straps, I left them on when I put the T Top on. I circled where they go in red. I did remove the front and center mounting points and filled those holes, and I have the hardware to go with them, but I don't know about the screws. $100 and its yours.
