Looking to buy a gun safe - input requested

I just started looking into buying a gun safe and I'm doing a bit of research. I've got no brand loyalty...my dad has a couple large Liberty safes, and seems quite happy with them. I know other guys with ones from Browning, Remington, Superior, etc. and everyone is happy with their purchases. As I stated, I just started looking, but I'm not crazy about some of the electronic locks that I'm seeing on certain models. Call me old school, but I still prefer a conventional dial. Essentially, I'm looking to store guns, ammo, documents, etc. No interested in computer connectivity that some offer...just basic storage and theft/fire protection.

Basically, I'm curious as to what some of you guys have and/or what you might recommend? Feel free to share good/bad features, experiences either way, etc. I'm not looking to bash any particular brand, but if something performed poorly or was a deal breaker, it would be good data to share (I think).

Thanks in advance for the input.

I have a Liberty safe and love it. I plan on getting another as mine is packed solid. I have no experience with the other brands but I'll cast a food positive vote for Liberty.

I bought mine from cabelas not sure who makes those but it is a good safe. Make sure you get a steel safe not a cast iron or aluminum. The reason I say this because if a rat steals your safe they won't be able to get I without ruining the contents. The cast iron or cast aluminum safes will break if you hit them with a sledge hammer.

I have two of them one has a dial and one has an electronic combination. I prefer the electronic one over the dial. My safes hold 25 guns are we're about $700. They weight about 700 pounds empty so they are heavy as hell

Got mine at Gander at a sale. It's a Centurion and it made in the USA. At the time I thought I wouldn't fill it now I wish it was bigger and its about 600 lbs.
Costco has some really good deals on gun safes now and their prices are delivered. Lowes also sells the Centurion's/

Mine is does not have electronic lock it has a good old fashion dial on it. It works perfectly.

Thanks Anthony.

After looking at every safe I could find all over, I ended up ordering on from kwik. It is a much better safe for the money than you can get at any of the retail places around here. I can't wait for mine to arrive, though I still need to figure out how to get it home lol.

I also ordered one from kwik and love it, no issues at all and he dropped it off at my house and helped me move it. Great guy to do business with. When I'm ready for another safe ill be talking to him again. I went with an Amerisafe

Getting it home is easy. We'll work it out.

Yeah, I'm not worried about it, I just haven't made arrangements for a truck yet. I'll probably try to con scooter into helping and using his trick with promises of ammo, lol.
