full interior stock suspension from 1985 with traction bars. with a bubble hatch

first pic is first pass with a mild windsor after switching from a 302 so ignore the et on the windshield. first picture you can see him letting go of the two step but it was still a foot brake car in both pics.

10.90 then we pulled motor and it went slower. sucks but it is consistent now for the racing he does.

damn. that thing looks tough. id love to put a big block in it but im just gonna stick to a 357 windsor. thatll be plenty for a street car

Damn. I need to put all my parts on a windsor. My highports with a solid roller, domed pistons, and a super vic would run 10.90's I think...:)

this was a 357 with a .498 hydro roller. out of the box y heads. no secrets its all in the rule book for what class he runs. and i know what the car ran at which weight so people who claim hatch backs weigh anymore then 3000 pounds i call bullshit!

Mine actually weighs more than 3000. Seriously.....

what does it weigh and what is left in it?

It still has everything from the factory. I mean it does have tubular upper and lowers in the rear but the front is all stock stuff besides the koni's. Add in the weight of the cage and the heavy ass factory 10 holes and you can see its a tank!

this car has a 100lb bubble hatch and a cage stock everything but heater core and stuff like that. and we pulled sound stuff off the floor. so how does your car sit compared to that? if its the same there is no way its over 3000

nice. i never used to like the look of the capri but its really grown on me. you rarely see a nice one around anymore. everyone converts them to the aero nose

for sure, we have had a few but they have all gone except this one. they are the same as a mustang but cooler in a way if you ask me. just gotta make them fast and then everyone shuts up.

It still has the heater core and everything else. Nothing is gutted. I removed some of the sound deadener but not all of it. The last time I weighed it it was like 3160 if I remember right? I was expecting a bit lower but I don't plan on ever gutting anything out of my car. I might get a tubular K-member and such but Im happy with how it sits/works.

ok well that makes more since, his car is never on the street anymore being that it is for an ihra class. so he pulled all that out. when it was all gutted with full interior cage and bubble hatch it weighed 2750#

Wow. Thats pretty light with a full interior. I know I could gain some ET if I put my car on a diet but I'm not class racing or trying to be the fastest out there. My car cruises just fine the way it is. I might even throw my chrome tailpipes back on it to make it really quiet!
