Looking to make the move to the Metro Detroit-ish area. Hoping to be ~30 minutes or less away from Troy, but home features are more important to me than distance. Anyone have a recommendation?

I used Rodger Dabish when we sold my old house and bought the house we are in now. He was great to work with and patient as we hunted for our property. He is with Remax. (248) 514-4465. Tell him you know Tony May from your carclub.

This was the buy side of who we used at Mark Z. Very good service

When I moved to the area from out of state Mark Leitson was awesome. http://www.marcleitson.com/ I spent three full days doing nothing but looking at houses with him for like 12 hours a day. I told him what I wanted, he made a big list of stuff that fit those requirements. Very organized and very helpful with all the supporting stuff for buying given I didn't know anyone or anything in the area or about buying a house.

Mark Warren from Gearhead homes was my realtor for my recent move. http://www.gearheadhomes.com/about/agents-2/ Good guys to work with, also my realtor for selling the old house. You want to be close to Troy? http://www.gearheadhomes.com/property/576ebakerave/ Sorry, shameless plug.

Ken Smith, L98Terror on here is a realtor as well.

Hey bud. Give my guy a call. I've used him on every deal I've done and he has helped several members here. His name is Joe. 248-521-6443. Tell him steve sent you. Also, I can always help with a mortgage if needed.

Thx much

The Steve/Joe combination is the best around.

I HATE that trick camera view/format..... whomever started it, should be beaten up......Complete lie to be used that way, it's like a dating app profile pic......

Absolutely!!! Very happy and thankful to have gone this route. You couldn't ask for a better combo than these 2. Steve did my mortgage Joe was our agent for buying our home. Seriously consider them.

Steve will bend over backwards for you. He has jumped through a few hoops for me. I'm working on another with him right now and he makes things happen and fast !!

Have you typed in your preferences in Zillow or Trulia?
Those sites are VERY up to date (like in minuets) of whats available and do a good job of filtering your needs.
Not sure of your price range..... what wrong with looking in Troy? They have a wide variety of pricing.

GENERAL requirements:

2/2.5 car garage
Decent yard with ability to be fenced in (enough for a dog to have some space and store a trailer)
125k price limit

Really want to stick around or under 100k. This is my first house and i have a couple car payments so I'm very conscious of being "house poor". If you guys come across anything that meets these requirements I'd be more than happy to take a look. I've been playing around on Zillow quite a bit. I want something move in ready or needing minimal work.

Example of something I would be interested in: http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/5675-Berkley-Dr-Waterford-MI-48327/24393560_zpid/

Also if anyone can point out areas I should avoid (that aren't completely obvious) I'd greatly appreciate it.
