I was wondering if anyone has there kids in a local hockey program? I am sure there are plenty. My problem is the Mite program my son is in doesn't seem to push him. He is not bad but if he is not motivated he just doesn't try. When I get on the ice with him he can skate fast and chase me. When his is on the ice with the program he just doesn't seem to be the same. I know when I was a kid they worked the shit out of you in Mites. Now he barely breaks a sweat. Also last season he basically played the same game over and over. They had 2 teams. They traveled to another arena twice. I just remember we had real games as mites. Not this play bullshit. Any thoughts? My son is 7 by the way.

Sounds like the coach is just weak.
When I played LP baseball the coaches were no joke. Discipline, hard work, daily practice. When I played Dearborn baseball it was once a week practice and they were a joke. No motivation or anything. It wasn't even fun.
