This is a true story. So the wife is on her way home from the vet's today and she gets pulled over in Inkster and gets a ticket for doing 45 in a 40. She has never been pulled over in her life or gotten a ticket for anything. Need less to say we're fighting it. I figured motown would get a kick out of this.

inkster police are not true cops , there just off duty burger king security guards. I hope he spoke to her in a normal tone of voice or else Roadrage will go off again

. Of course she was very polite and she even said the cop was super nice to her. My luck of course. I stick up for cops and this is my backlash.

Was she actually doing 45? If so, then par for the course. If not, the title says it all.
. Yeah she was doing 45. But really a 5 over for someone who's never had a violation? I've very rarely seen that happen. I'd understand if she had a habit of speeding or something.

Inkster is a joke. I got a ticket on Middlebelt just north of Michigan Ave. for like 48 in a 40. The sheriff who pulled me over even told me to fight the ticket, that if I caught the judge on a good day that he's pretty lenient, and that most days are good days. When I went in to fight it, I was in the tiny-ass courtroom with about 25 other people. A woman walked in, told the ENTIRE room that they've looked over all of our driving records and we all qualify to plead to the lesser account of obstructing traffic or something like that. Told us exactly what to say to each of the judge's questions (I plead responsible to blah blah..., etc.). Wait in line for 10 min to pay then out of there. Yeah, I'm sure all 25 of us in there had a squeaky clean record (mine was but I highly doubt everyone in there could say the same thing).

So in other words, don't even worry about it. Fight it, pay the fine, move on with life.

Exactly. It's not the fine that I care about it's the points...

My wife has had one ticket in her life. Same thing. She was actually doing 5 over and he wrote her for 5 over. I sure feel safer with dedicated police officers like this out there.

Yeah, I can 99.9% guarantee she won't get any points if she fights it. Hell, in Romulus I got nailed for 10 over in a construction zone last summer. 3 point violation, huge fine, etc. Went in, they said "you don't have any points on your license and I assume you'd like to keep it that way." Gave me a ticket for double parking, fine was actually LESS than the ticket would have been for, and they told me that ticket would never leave the courthouse. Apparently it didn't because the aforementioned Sheriff who pulled me over in Inkster 2 months later said "I see you had a few blips when you were young but hey it happens, I'd recommend you fight the ticket..."

Exact same thing. Except Ashley's never had a ticket and was actually only doing 5 over like your wife..

My cousin and my friends stronly disgree with you on that one...

I got a ticket down here for rolling through a stop sign. It's debatable whether I did roll through it or not, but went to court none the less. Talked to the judge who said "Pay the fine and we'll make it so it doesn't show on your record." $145 is better for me than missing work to do a jury trial. Besides, I just spent a month and a half in federal court in Michigan. I wanted nothing to do with going into court again.

Karma biatch!!

That's is bullshit though. To give a 5 over with a clean driving record?? WTF?? You won't get the points but you'll pay the fine unless somebody smarter comes along in between seeing the judge.

That's pretty ignorant to label the whole Inkster PD as not "true" cops. A couple of them stop at my work and buillshit for a few minutes sometimes and they are good people.

Shitty the cop gave her a ticket, but she was speeding. Fight it, pay fine, move on.

If she wouldn't have been breaking the law like a common criminal she wouldn't have to pay the fine. If she had hit someone doing 5 over and killed them then you'd be screaming bloody murder about the fact that the cops didn't stop her. You're such a cop hater.

Can you post a list of what other cities don't have "true cops" so that we know which videos are cops doing their jobs and which are just "burger King security guards" when they tackle a young girl from behind?

Was your dad an Inkster cop? That could possibly explain some things??

 That's the first thing I thought of too. Karma. Yeah I'll pay the fine no problem. I doubt she'll get any points though. Hell I've gotten out of points and my record was shot to hell.
