Gain horsepower and torque with this straightforward upgrade. Lifetime filter can be cleaned and re-oiled, but the big news here is that we've streamlined the airflow in the 05 Mustang to the point that a computer re-flash isn't just an option, it's required!

The kit is supplied with a stainless steel air box with built-in velocity stack and CNC billet aluminum mass air meter. It mounts in the factory location with the supplied rubber trim to seal it against the hood & fender to keep the hot air out. Our tests showed inlet temps a mere 10 degrees above ambient temperature. The Steeda Lifetime Filter can easily be cleaned and re-oiled, making maintenance a snap. All hardware required for installation is included in the kit.

We've found between 16 -20 more rear wheel horsepower with this kit.

Steeda's performance lowering springs improve the overall handling of the 2003 Cobra by lowering the center of gravity and reducing body roll and pitching motion. The reduced longitudinal pitch of the vehicle during heavy braking, due to the optimized spring calibration, improves the overall braking efficiency.

The higher rate of the front springs reduces the amount of load transferred to the front tires. This causes the load on all four tires to be more evenly distributed providing additional traction to the rear tires. The additional gain in rear traction usually results in reduced braking distances.

The proportionate increase in spring rate also reduces body roll, which limits adverse suspension movement. This confines the suspension geometry to stay within parameters that enhance the tires contact patch relative to the road, The result is improved vehicle cornering and handling, because front and rear tire loading is more evenly distributed. Therefore, higher cornering limits can be achieved because the built in understeer characteristics are reduced and provide for a more neutral yet safe vehicle.

Definition: Bumpsteer is a change in toe* angle caused by the suspension moving up or down. Bumpsteer is built into the geometry of the suspension and steering system, and has nothing to do with turning the steering wheel. The effect of bumpsteer is for the wheel to toe-in or toe-out when the suspension moves up or down. This toe change or “steering” occurs any time the suspension moves, whether it is from body roll, brake-dive, or hitting a bump in the road. Bumpsteer is undesirable because the suspension is steering the car instead of the driver.

Steeda's beautiful CNC machined billet camber adjusters allow for consistent, easy camber adjustment on S197 Mustangs. Unlike cheap camber bolts, these plates allow for a much larger range of adjustment and remain consistent under load. Camber bolts will tend to "walk" under loads changing your alignment settings and producing inconsistent handling and tire wear. Our plates will hold their alignment settings under any load or condition. Our plates allow you to add positive camber to reduce tire wear or negative camber for racing. Camber is easily adjusted by changing camber shims provided with the kit once installed making them perfect for quick camber changes in between rounds of competition.

Steeda's underdrive pulleys are the only pulleys engineered through a unique partnership in Ford's technology transfer program to have the proper torsional vibration dampening characteristics for your 4.6L engine. Cobra IRS Subframe Bushings 03-04 Cobra. # 555-4106


Steeda IRS Subframe bushings improve handling, reduce wheel hop, and improve tire clearance on the 1999-2004 Mustang Cobra. The entire rear suspension of the Cobra is attached to a steel subframe, which in turn is attached to the car with just four rubber bushings. The rubber bushings deflect under load, leading to wheel hop and less predictable handling. Our polyurethane bushing kit substantially reduces unwanted subframe movement and wheel hop. You will notice an immediate improvement in car control after installing these bushings.

Steedas Subframe bushing kit includes two other important features. First, we include the correct 14mm bolts to fit the car. The forward factory mounting points on the Cobra have 14mm holes but many cars were assembled from the factory with 12mm bolts. We provide new grade 10.9 nuts and bolts of the correct size. This ensures correct alignment of the subframe and prevents the bolts from shifting in the large 14mm holes. Second, Steeda subframe bushing kits include new rear bolts with a low profile round head to increase tire clearance. The low profile allows bigger tires to be installed and the rounded head prevents the tire from being torn by occasional contact with the bolt.

Steeda Heavy Duty Engine Mounts - '05-'08 #555-4005


The weakest link in your drivetrain may be the hydra-mounts used for mounting the engine. While they get the damping job done, they can be prone to fatigue, sagging and/or leaking even with only limited hard use. These direct replacements eliminate the hydra-coupling, and do a better job of directing your engine's efforts to the wheels as well as maintaining proper engine/driveline geometry. Supplied with with two sets of bushings with different durometer ratings, making it a very versatile kit for street or race use.

Steeda Oil Separator Kit - Fits 1979-04 Mustangs. #555-3710

Steeda's oil separator kit reduces detonation, oil burning and deposits on the valves by removing oil drawn through the PCV system before it can contaminate the intake charge.

Excess crankcase pressure (sometimes known as blow-by) is vented from the crankcase through the PCV system, where it is drawn into the intake manifold and returned by the engine. This re circulated air contains aerated oil from the crankcase which is burned by the engine. Supercharged, nitrous boosted and high mileage engines often draw excessive amounts of oil into the engine through the PCV system. The Steeda oil separator plugs into the PCV hose between the PCV valve and the intake manifold and removes aerated oil from the re circulated air and collects it in a tube that can be drained and recycled.

The kit includes the oil separator, connecting hoses, a mounting bracket and hardware. Instructions for installation on a '03-04 Cobra are included, but the kit can be used on any vehicle.

This battery pack enables testing/logging without having to hook the LM-1 to a 12-volt source. Complete with charger, the foam-lined pack is heavy-duty plastic with a built-in rechargeable battery. It's ideal for sprint cars, midgets and quarter midgets, go-carts, motorcycles, or applications where a battery does not exist or is difficult to access.

The Bassan X-pipe is a key component of the overall exhaust system that Bassani manufactures for the Mustang Cobra. Its job is to improve performance and to create an exhaust note that is unique to the Bassani X-pipe. Performance improvements are achieve by Bassani's unique X-crossover, which features smooth transitions for minimal flow interruption.
