Hey everyone;

I hate to see anyone else have their stuff wrecked like mine due to the Ethanol fuel, so here is a site that will tell you where you can buy Ethanol free gas for your muscle cars, race cars etc. go to the site, select MI at the bottom and you will see all the places in the state you can get it, as well as the octane rating.

Site is- www.pure-gas.org

If you dare to run the Ethanol and take the chance, there are a few different products that can be used to offset the effects of the Ethanol. These are to be added to your fuel system.

- AMS oil Quickshot (Thanks Rich @ Detroit Gear box)
-Lucas oil safeguard Ethanol fuel conditioner
-Joe Gibbs Racing "Driven Carb Defender"

In one month, my $1000 carb and fuel system corroded to the point of replace.

Interesting how some BP stations are ethanol free and others aren't. You would think they all get gas from the same distributor. I guess that would go for Mobil and shell as well.

So the 10% ethanol that's at most stations screwed up your car?

Yep. So far all the places have made good on the parts except the carb shop. Still waiting on them. The fact that I rarely get the car out compounded the problem. If Ethanol is allowed to site, it attacks aluminum and zinc components. Steel parts are given an accelerated corrosion due to the moisture it attracts. It made me sick when I took it apart.

They all get their fuel from the same pipeline, and mostly through all the same transporters. So the fuel from station to station is generally all the same.
