Lifted truck questions..

Hey guys, I have a 2009 silverado lt four door and I'm contemplating on lifting it up. I know nothing about suspension or lift kits or if some kits do or do not void my warranty. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or could point me in a safe direction. Thanks

nothing will void an entire warranty... for example, if you get a check engine lamp for an 02 sensor... they will repair it under warranty... now, on the other hand, if you come in with bad ball joints or wheel bearings and it was caused by the lift (which it most likely would be) they will not cover it and it would be customer pay. sometimes even aftermarket wheels would make wheel bearings or braking complaints customer warranty when i was at Benz and Lexus.

I have some customers that have spent a lot of money fixing their vehicle that would argue otherwise.
Once the dealer flags your vehicle your fucked for warranty.
Speaking strictly from experience, trying to get the GM rep to warranty anything is like pulling teeth, except pulling teeth is easier.

I would be worried about the warranty to. But for lift information Jeeperz Creeperz is a great place to call.
