Lets talk EFI fuel pumps

What are you guys that are making big power running? I'm talking ~1000RWHP and E85, or race fuel. I've been tring to figure out what pump would be best suited for street/strip (limited street) . I've been steered towards a MagnaFuel 4303 Protuner 750, which Tech Support said is good for 1150RWHP is a BAP on E85. Others have said to go belt drive, like the Aeromotive pump with the drive mandrel ect. What does Motown Muscle recommend?

Ive had a few cars come into the shop and put down 1000+rwh on my DynoJet and that have twin A1000 with separate inlets from the tank but merge into a -8 line

I won't run an electric aeromotive. The belt pump I would. I've also heard about thosre Weldons burning up if used on the street. That control box hurts them in the long run

I have done a ton of research on this exact subject with the same horsepower numbers in mind and the protuner 750 was the best choice and so far it has performed flawless....the big thing I was looking for was continuous duty and flowing enough fuel to support around 1k at the wheels with e85..I ran a -12 from the tank -10 from the pump split into 2 -8's one to each rail... I haven't put down 1k yet but have made some changes this winter which should get me closer but I'm not worried about the fuel system it shouldn't be an issue

Hope this helps

Good info. I already have a BAP so this would be a nice lower cost option for me. I dont know if my car will make the 1000hp that im shooting for, but I want that level to be an option. What kind of setup are you running if you dont mind sharing?

i was very happy with price of the magnafuel but when i built mine i had trouble finding one, everywhere i checked they were back ordered so if you go that route keep that in mind....my combo is a single turbo lsx in a mustang

I started with a Weldon 2015.....which I maxed out at 675RWHP on E85. I was using no voltage box and it was fine on the street......I drove it on the street for 4 years.

I then switched from 83lb injectors and the 2015 to the Weldon 2025 and 150LPH injectors and all is well. No issues at this point with FP loss or Injector DC.

I still run no voltage box and still put lots of street miles on my car and all is well. I love the weldon stuff and have never broke one. This is my 4th weldon pump that I have owned......they are great!

At a certain point you will need to go to a mechanical pump....

Ive got a 4303 in mine and it made just under 1000rwhp on turbo blue with no issues. I think the pump will support 1300 on gas provided youve got the injector
