Leasing a Truck

Anyone leased a truck before?I'm curious at the end of the lease do you get charged for scratches, dings and dents in the bed of the truck?

Thinking of either a Silverado or Colorado.

They have a chart that will have acceptable damage. Small dings and scratches usually aren’t a problem. What they usually charge for is major damage or over mileage. I work at a Chevy dealer feel free to pm me.

just get a dropin bedliner from the dealer. When I leased my Sierra, the bedliner had residual value. Basically, they take the purchase price of the liner, back out the residual, and amortize it over the life of the loan. As such, I think it was $4/mo. Worth it to me to know I wouldn't get hit for any charges and I could use the truck like a truck.

Interestingly, a tri-fold tonneau cover had no residual value, so I bought an el cheapo one for $200 off the web.

Something to consider looking into

Make sure you lease through GM and you will be better off. My dad did a lease through some random bank and they nickel and dimed the crap out of him when he returned it.

Id be surprised if the dealer didn't already have a liner in the truck. It seems like they all put them in and just try to stick you with it on the invoice.

I've leased numerous trucks, and never had an issue. But I've ALWAYS had a bed liner. I'd go with the factory spray on liner GM offers now for sure.
