lawn tractor wiring

Is anyone good with lawn mower tractors? I have an older Murray 42” mower that seems to have a wiring issue all of a sudden. It appears that someone already wired it before, not 100% sure but the connectors & stuff used look kind of shady. I don’t have a manual for it, and since it is older and no longer available I can’t ask questions about it.
There are so many safety switches that keep it from doing A,B,C…I’m a little overwhelmed right now after trying to draw something up.
It has a seat switch, clutch, blade engage, gear, maybe something else. All these need to be met in order to start or keep it running.

My craftsman one was the same way. Does yours have a single square automotive relay near the battery? On mine every time I went to engage the blades the engine would shut off. I pulled that relay and now they turn on every time and I can even hop off the seat if I need to pick a kids toys up in the middle of the yard lol.

Murray - 42819X8A
MFG date - serial, 95261 - 149720

This specific one has a Briggs and Stratton, I believe a 15 hp.

It has a solenoid just like my car, but the ignition trigger wire, usually 12v from the key switch doesn't seem to work.
I need to get back over there with a meter and some basic tools, jumper wires and a few other things would make it easier to troubleshoot.

there's a wire diagram in the like i posted

there is also a great lawn mower salvage yard in Lapeer up by Lapeer dragway

I messed with it last night.
What I found is that there must be a wire broken between the ignition switch and solenoid.
The trigger wire on the solenoid is still on it, but must have disconnected from the ignition.
I turned the key to ON and jumpered the trigger to B+, it started right up.
I'm going to try and track that down and just replace the wire.
Hope for the best...
Thanks for the info! If I don't get this, I'll probably get a new switch and try to clean up the wiring.
