hard drive went poop

If you have all the start up disks for it to reinstall windows, that's easily fixable and cheaper. What size HD does it have?

no disks and no idea on size, ill have to look its a 7 year old dell not really worth repairing

If you're local, I could try to take a look at it? If it's a mechanical hd failure then it's done. If it's corrupted, I may be able to fix.
