does anybody have a code or password that you are not using so I can purchase presale tickets today ? thanks !

I have tomorrows, but from what I have seen before they will be sold out of presale stuff by 10:01. APPLAUSE. The Metallica show for tomorrow is ROCK.

I get an email from Olympia with all the venue presales. Right now, if you have a Citi credit card, you can buy tickets for either of these shows.

The Kid Rock presale went out a few weeks ago, and all the tickets were gone by 10:20.

MetClub presale (for Metallica) started yesterday morning and volume crushed the website. If you want tickets, would suggest start looking ASAP. Tickets are not cheap....

Got my Metallica tickets at 10 on the dot Tuesday :D Citi pre-sale came through when Met's site queued everybody for half an hour. See ya in the pit \m/

No clue about a Gaga password, but try "garbage".

Yea the Citi password still works, but that still stings at $160 a pop, not including charges.

$185 for pit tickets after fees for me. I think that's only $5 or so more than it would have been through the MetClub. I think the rest of the floor seats were the same, and seats were closer to $100? Me, I'd rather be in the pit and stake my usual place at the front gate!

The last time I saw them was in '09, and have been waiting for another tour since. Considering how long that took, there's no telling how frequently they'll be touring in the future so I'm not about to miss it. I had to miss Orion Fest because work sent me out of town on a revised schedule (should have been the week prior), and I've been upset ever since.

I can't believe what these big concert tickets cost. $185 a ticket? Seriously? :eek5: I can't imagine paying that much for 4 hours of entertainment. Add $10 beers and drinks and thats one hell of an expensive evening.

Now I understand that I like smaller bands that play smaller venues. The most I've paid for a ticket in the last 10 years is $20.

I did pay $125 for Riot Fest tickets in Chicago but that was a 3 day festival.

Same here, I'm a giant metalhead and rarely if ever pay more than $30 for a show after fees. Even $30 is an expensive one, seems like you know the deal ;)

Half the shows I see are at small clubs/bars too, sometimes I'll see the same bands 2-4x per year at $15-25 a pop. Or like last year I saw Sabbath 4x including a VIP deal and would have done more if I had the chance. I'd seen them a dozen or so times already (and Ozzy even moreso), but to me Sabbath at any time is worth anything. I wouldn't have gone to Riot Fest for free, Lady Gaga if I was PAID $200, but obviously it all comes down to what we really enjoy.

Now, I wouldn't pay that much to see Metallica every time, or if I'd seen them a bunch of times in the past, but I definitely like them A TON more than the "average fan" and have only seen them once 8 years ago. Twice I've missed the opportunity to see them when I had tickets, and if I have to spend more than usual so be it.

edit: goddamn, sorry to HIJACK, OP.

I just checked Metallica at Comerica Park July 12, and you can still get tickets in the "Cheap Seats" for $60 each. I might actually go!

FYI - Mushroom Head plays this Sunday at Diesel. There's actually a Groupon for cheaper tickets, $10 if I remember correctly.
