Kids quad ideas

My kids birthdays are next week. I want to get them outdoors more with something they can enjoy. My daughter will be 8, and son 4.
Looking for recommendation and thought on a small quad for the kids. Is 4 too young for a 4 wheeler?
I didn't have one as a child and want to get them something for outside play....
Thanks in advance

4 should be good. A friend of mine got his son a 196cc go kart last year. His son is 5 now and rips it around frequently. It does like 20mph with the governor.

You can get "kids quads' that are very safe for young riders. I wouldn't spend a lot of money in case they don't like them. Tons of barely used ones online because kids outgrow them too fast or just never ride them. Most the smaller ones have speed limiters, tethers and even remote kill switches (like if you see them driving towards the road). Look at Tao Tao for example.

Not sure if you're stuck on a four wheeler but at 4 my son was riding a Yamaha TTR50 with training wheels. Also check out Honda CRF50. In the used market the prices don't change much overtime. You can pretty much sell them for what you paid after your kids out grow them if you don't trash it or let the gas sit in it without Stabil or something.

Honda, Yamaha or Suzuki 50s or 80s all day. Buy a good condition used one and the value shouldn't drop much when you sell it (when the kid outgrows it).

2 seat go kart might work? ATV's definitely got me outside as a kid during the Nintendo rage.. I went from an ACT 70 into a go kart because I was staring off at the clouds a little too much for me dads liking. Hahaha Now I have toys that still get me outside, they just got faster and more expensive. They are a quick way to learn responsibility and mechanical stuff too.

Why not a dirtbike? 2 wheels are better!!
Both my boys got crf50's on their 3rd birthdays. They come with throttle limiting screws.

This is the route we went & it worked out great!

Kids had a blast with it for several years & sold it
for almost what I paid for it (used).
