just got fired from the shop that i work at in dallas texas, so do any of you know of any jobs back in michigan. i was making about 12.50 hr down here putting together and shipping vette resto parts and doing minor resto work, also have worked in collision in the past. just need a job asap, and would love to come back to michigan. sucks even more cause i get married in 5 weeks
 
money, the company is having money issues, sucks cause it was under the table and i wasnt even there 90 days so no unemployment
 
I have been out of work since October. Unemployment ran out in Feb so I have been doing side jobs to keep alive...
 
thing thats fucked up is that b/c of the large population of mexicans alot of the auto jobs are really low pay and there arent many around, there are lots of jobs down here but there all IT type jobs and sales
 
yeah my buddy back in michigan is askin around for me and my dad is in HR so he is gonna make some phone calls when he gets back from vacation

just stressful 5 weeks before my wedding

with being under the table you wouldn't have gotten unemployment after 30 years or more.

but i also agree with others. unless you've got some sort of degree or desired trade STAY THE HELL AWAY from michigan. :shake: nothing but a downward spiral here.
 
the whole country is going to shit

things are better out of michigan but not as well as many ppl want you to believe, just talked to a buddy out west and he is in a similar situation
 
join the club man.. i was fired from my job end of May thought that job was the one too. boss liked me i liked my job.. things were good.. then couple problems with a car in one day and bam im gone the next ! there aint shit for work up here !1

couldnt of happened to a better guy, good luck trying to find a new job.:icon_wink
 
The southwest is one of the best places in the US to get a job, quickly. Michigan on the other hand... well blowing monkey balls is what the economy up here does best.
