Just a little I've been doing for the next P-headed venture.

Almost a year off from this project and I just got the short block together today. Oh yea, and it came with an all new Scott Brown custom cam as well :w00t:

Can't wait to see what this stock head turd is going to run when the complete jy one went a best of [email protected].

LOL, thanks Mike. It seems as if everything in this build is a major time-killer. I spent the better part of Friday and Saturday setting up my valve-train geometry. I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel though. Here are some of the latest; Had to order these due to either the deck measurements given to me being wrong, or the custom pistons compression height ending up wrong. Either way, they were much more expensive than the ones I had originally planned for. What's bad is at this point it didn't seem too bad. This whole build has greatly exceeded my original financial budget for this thing to come together anyhow!

Then there's these;

And what I ended up with after the weekend. I am currently waiting on my oil pump, and Ishihara-Johnson crank scraper, then this sucker goes in and I can start fabbing up all of what's in the last pic.

Had a bracket machined up for the alternator;

Got the engine mated up to the trans;

And LITERALLY dropped it into the car. I had my wife come out and "help". As I was guiding it down and in she was working the lift. Yea, she opened the valve WAY too much and the assy went from bottom of the windshield high, to the tail of the trans impacting the concrete and the bell smacking into the rack, you can also see where the core support got bent up on the top. Needless to say I was not a happy camper and I'm sure I hurt the wife's feelings as a result of my expletives. Happy Mother's Day right? LOL Anyhow, it appears to have survived the drop fine.

isnt your smooth water pump pulley going to fuck up your belt? I think you need a grooved pulley.

Looks sweet.
