its starterd off as this. 16x2 speed gems 2 motors, with a super rooster, and a single battery. lets just say 18mph wasnt too much fun. it couldnt crawl over a mole hill, let alone go threw the grass hardly. it just lookied cool. spent around 400 on it, just to have the stupid thing. needles to ay it only lasted about 3 weeks. the 4 link rod ends are made outa plastic, and the cantilevear suspension just kept popping them off, so i go board fast, and didnt touch it for about a year.

about a year later i decided to ditch the canti set up, in favor of a coil over set up, and we ended up here, sorry for the poor cell phone quality pictures.

also, note, the two speed e-maxx tranny with the 550 motors. this was the only pic i got of it threw this transfromation of its life. the canti set up got lost about a year ago, and the emaxx tranny got put in with yes those are zip ties about 2 weeks ago.

sooooo, after i decided i could make the emaxx tranny work, i made up 2 mounts for it, outta angle iron, and bolted the stupid thing in. it turned out good, so i decided to keep rolling with it, and went and wasted a heafty chunk of change on getting it powder coated, and buying 60 dollars worth of anodized aluminum washers and lock nuts.

this is how it looks as of now, but i'm just mocking it up, i still need to buy screws, and a few other small things before the chassis is done and ready to get electronics.

now instead of only 18mph, it should go somewhere between 30 and 35 in the grass i'm hopeing. it should pull wheelies on command, and have pleanty of run time, somewhere around 25-30 minutes on 4200 nimh packs.

im gonna be useing the water proof evx2 speed controll, and reciever, from traxxas. its gonna be quite the basher i hope. if you notice where the transmission is its pushed further to the back of the chassis, thats cause i'm mounting the batterys in the front of the truck, to help with when im climbing hills with it. the first hill i'm trying with it is probally a 45-60 degree grade, and around 50-60 foot high, with alot of fine pebble. i've actually climbed it before back in high school with a team losi xxt with a 17x1 speed gems, and a 2000 pack, with paddle tires. so i have confidence in this doing it also. i am actually mainley build this truck just for that hill. lol. what a freakin waste right?

anyways, i figured we had a few people on here that were into stuff like this, so i figured i'd post up the robber of my mustang fund. lol.

i've also got a emaxx, and a losi mini t, and a old rc10l that needs alot, but i've alwasy been in and out of rc.

if you got some rc stuff, i'd love to see it posted up also. this sutff is great.

yeah, i liked the twin force also, when it first came out what, almost 8 years ago now, but it just wasnt what i was looking for. it wasn't scale enough for me. the txt actually has the sweet chassis instead of the sheat metal looking one the twin force had. i do kinda wish that i could use the sweet chain drive off a twin force some how, cause that does look pretty cool, but mainley, i got the thing solely on the looks. i remember seeing one assembled and saying that is so cool. i cant really say i was tired of the race chassis clods running around, but at the same tiem i was. i wanted something different. also, the twin force is a single speed truck if im not mistaken???? i like my maxx tranny, wht the 2 different gears. i built it for me, and its just the way i like it for now. eventually, im gona be painting up a scarlet bandit body for it. thats the reason for teh purple anodized washers and nuts. i love monster jam, and woulda loved to have a grave digger, or a max d truck, but so many people build them, they just get boring. so i decided i'd do a chicks truck, all pink and purple and such, that was bad as hell. it's easier talking my girlfriend into letting me spend the money when she finds out its gonna be pink too. lol.

post up some pics of your slot cars. i've never had one, but i've watched themrun a few times, i know they're bad too.

I assume you built this chassis? It looks bad-ass!!

im not sure the tranny ins a twin force but i know in a mad force its aa 3 speed, you could drop the 3 speed in the twin tho, i do kno that, ill post up some slot car pics in a bit

thanks for the comment. i really appreciate it. as far as me building it goes, kinda. it came as a kit, i bought it already built tho. the first picture is the way i got it. i wasnt much of a fan of the body either, just solely the truck. i more or less tore it compleatly apart, and made it mine. i cut away part of the chassis, and added a different transmission, and changed the shock set up. i'm also gonna change the steering around, and possiably add rear steering to it, but we'll see. i figure i'll have it moveing sometime around the middle of april, and probally finished sometime in may.
