is verizon good?

I switched from Cingular to Verizon a few years ago. There is no looking back.

I've never talked with a happy Sprint customer.
 
I've had verizon for a couple months now, seems pretty good. Lots of static out by my house, but I don't know any cell provider that has better coverage out there.
 
have verizon and love it, way better then cingular IMO, cingular fucks up everyones bills that i know, and sprint/nextel is horrible
 
I had Nextel and they sucked. Then Nextel was bought out by Sprint. Sprint sucked.

I now have Verizon. I've dropped .000000000000000000000001% of the calls Nextel/Sprint did. I love my Verizon.
 
had verizon for a long time now, i love em. Can't beat the new every two program 2 which is 100 bucks towards a new phone.

IIRC verizon and cingular use similar technology, meaning they share towers, so service should be theoretically the same, HOWEVER, the phone you have could make all the difference.

My gripe w/ cingular was not coverage, it was strictly their billing department, i pay all of my bills early, sometimes weeks before they are due, and so does everone (except my sister) in my family, yet they would insist i paid late, even though i had proof of the checks being cashed before the due date, they wouldnt take the late fee's off, they would only give us "overage credit" but we would never go over, and they wouldnt credit us back, then when i cancelled my plan (after the term length was over) i was still charged the cancellation fee, so were the rest of my family, finally i contacted my cousin who is a lawyer and she sent them a letter, and then a couple weeks later we had a check for nearly 1000 dollars sent to us, which was for 4 cancellation fees, and misc. charges.

Another vote for Verizon Wireless as well :) I've been with them a looooooooooooooooooooong time...since they were Cellular One, and then Airtouch.
