Hello fellow Michiganders!

Been lurking awhile figure I would finally register and introduce myself.

My 9 year project is a 1986 Mercury Cougar XR7. I'm in the process of turbo V8 swap. The car originally came with a 2.3T. Had good luck with that but just want to go faster. My best pass to date....

Anyways I will post a couple of pictures:

Bought the car in Georgia in Feb 2003, no rust with 87k miles on it. I love this car. My children will put me in the ground in this car.

Couple of other neat items is my new STingers Pimp megasquirt based eec4 computer. Cannot wait to try that out.

Well thanks,

Travis

Welcome! Nice car, I drove a Turbo Coupe back in the day. There are a bunch of us on here running turbo small blocks so post up if you have any questions.

Sweet! I worked for Roush back in the "Strohs Light Cougar" IMSA days. Always thought they were such cool cars.

I like it....it was a really different car when it had the 2.3t and a c4. Surprised lots of people. Just wanted to go faster and the 2.3 wasn't feasible in my 3500lb fat cat!

Thanks for the kind words.

Travis

Welcome Travis. Turbo SBF? Uh oh..... sounds like maybe a certain LS1 car should be on the lookout!!
Where were you on the last day of T&T at MMM?

Sorry Daryl...I didnt make it back after I saw you....in early October.

Regarding LS1....perhaps....got to keep him honest..
