i'm going to install my edelbrock victor intake on my mustang 347 and the felpro #1262 gaskets don't match the coolant ports.it looks like i need to cut material out to match the coolant ports.should i do this or install them as is?it seems that with the material left on it, would cause an obstruction in the flow. anybody have info on this?

I always trim that middle divider in the gasket, but IMO you would be fine just installing the gasket without doing that.

also felpro says to install the gaskets dry, while edelbrock says to apply rtv around the water ports on the intake manifold side. edelbrock also recommends using gagsgacinch on the head side to keep the gaskets form moving during the install. which way did you go and what was your end result?
