I have a c4 trans built by Mike Ridings that I picked up and was wondering if anyone has recommendations as to what kind of fluid to use and what the capacity is?
If Mike built it I would think he would have the best answer for you. Without knowing depth of the pan and other things like that everyone will just be guessing at capacity. Calling Mike and asking him is your best bet.
Call anytime bebetween 6PM to 10 pm monday thru friday or 8am to 10pm saturday @ 586-255-3426 or txt any time.
Fluid: any dextron/mercon 3 or type F. If the converter is too loose drain the pan and add 4 qts of johndeere hy-guard (hi- viscosity).
Synthetic in my opinion is throwing money out the window, people will howl about this statement, but i've been just as fast with 99 cent autozone trans fluid.
