innovators west 8 rib pulley question?

Installing my innovators west 10% OD dampner (8 rib) 7.5" dia one and looks like it will hit the water pump pulley lip. Well I know it will...
is this common? Iam wondering if people machine that lip on the water pump pulley off? or do I need to step to a electric water pump?
thanks for anyones help or insight..
oh yeah..for a 4v mach1 motor

Huh.......my IW pulley fit perfect, however it was not a 10% overdrive.

If it were me, I would be more comfortable using an electric WP than machining the lip off the pulley.

yeah...that is what i was thinking. yeah...I will post a pic of how close it is too. I wonder if the electric water pump with the idler pulley installed will fit?

I think there are 2 different water pump pulleys you could use, Is this an 8 rib swap? Somthing you might want to look into, but i agree with joe just get an electric pump while your at it.

If you are referring to the Meziere there is only 1 water pulley choice (for his application) but you do have the choice of running no pulley at all. In Dom's case he has to run the one with the pulley since he is retaining the belt drive.

No like OEM pulley, My buddy bought an 8 rib kit for his Mach 1 motor and im pretty sure there are 2 different pulleys, I could be mistaking but I remember it being weird. He had a 10% OD pulley and the 8 rib kit and he got it all to work, but like i said i remember the water pump pulley being weird.

EDIT: its one pulley but two options, should come with a spacer, you may or may not need to use it depending on your water pump. But like I said above he got the 10% OD and 8 rib kit to work fine.

YEAH...I got 2 pulleys from BGG to do the 8 rib conversion. ONE pulley..no way in hell it would work. other one they told me use the spacer with my stock pulley and the lip hits. Jeff from BGG said he builds his 8 rib kits around standard sized dampners. I got the 10% OD...which is a bigger dampner...

hmm i got mine to work stock pulley unmachined with spacer and 10% od IW just had to take the wp pulley off and slide the belt in then retighten it was real close but worked

Just got off the phone with Chris at Innovators West and he said I need to machine the lip off the water pump pulley for clearance.
