Today was a great day, one of those days in your life that will always stand out. My girl friend, Robins 11 year old son LEE has worked so very hard learning, praticing "Okinawan Shorin-ryu Shido-kan Karate-do"
...2 too 4 times a week!
I'm so very proud of this young man and where he is within himself. Just a year ago this time I watched him fight for his brown stripe with a mild go with 4 blackbelts ... he earned his belt. Today he went after his Blackbelt...

...and EARNED IT! The first fight is one where he had to go at it with another testee going for his Junior Blackbelt. Then the Second fight was with the top seated junior Blackbelt in the doejoe.... WOW sums it up!!!!

Congrats... in middle/high school I was involved in Shaolin King Fu... Still have the uniform.
I think I'd hurt myself if I did those kicks today.
 
I am VERY VERY HAPPY for Lee and the Family Jeff. I know hes work hard for this.

And guys.... YES this young man may be only 11 years old but he has a hard as hell kick...I have tookin a foot in the nuts by him.

Again CONGRATS JEFF!
 
Congrats to him.

I took Tae Kwon Do in high school but lost interest when I went to college. Maybe someday I'll get back into it.

I think that's pretty much the only place they're aloud to hit (below the neck above the belt) He did pretty good against that bigger kid.
