My 99 Z28 was $8500 out the door from a dealer even. It has 90,000 on it but it ran low 13's with only a converter. I don't think you will find more bang for your buck that will make as reliable a daily driver as an LS1 car. You might even be able to pull an 00-01 for that if you have enough patience.

I could aslo have to look into a later corvette or a 3ed gen Camaro and drop some money into it for mods
