So i dont know if its just cuz its cold outside or what but i started her up yesterday and she wouldn't idle at all. just up and down till it killed its self. my tune was done in july so im figuring (hoping) that the car just dosent know whats going on because of cold air and that i dont have to chase something down come spring. anyone else with a boosted car have these problems? any clue on what it could be? the battery was dead so maybe its in relearn mode? Alternative tuned it and it ran great before i put it away.

just make sure ur cars ready to be tuned before you take it, cuz if its not to his liking or anything is off....(like if u need a boost a pump, or a air temp sensor) he will make u bring it back at a later date.

pull the chip and replug it back in and see what happens. I have seen before where even removing the ground and putting it back on can fix weird issues.

Also make sure that the battery is fully charged.

sounds like a jerk

not really a jerk, he knows his shit (Lideo)....im just sure he is sick of people bringing raggity ass cars up there that they bolted a turbo system on and think they are gonna run the stock fuel system. ive heard nothing but good come outa there and was well worth the cash.

I misunderstood your post, so I quickly edited it.

I don't think it's much to do with being turbo'd, more just that at the current temps it's targeting much richer for the period during startup than in the warm months. I'd bet once it warms up a bit you won't see it again. I would also guess that if you were to keep it running (foot on the gas a bit) for 40-45 seconds to let the startup OL time out then let it idle on it's own it wouldn't be so bad, if at all. I've had it before where the car wasn't touched till mid winter and it wanted to surge when started in the cold. Reason I figure is that back then when I worked on the tables I didn't care about the 30° and below cells since I would never have been driving it when it was that cold. Anyways, if it's over-rich you will get idle surge. I can only speak for myself, and am in no way saying Lidio didn't touch that area as I know he knows his s__t.

Just another thing to consider. I'd say wait for spring to (hopefully soon) show it's effn face with some warmer temps and don't sweat it quite yet.

i kept it running till it was to temp, still wouldn't idle. :( im going to wait till it warms up forsure and well ee where we are at then, just checking to see if anyone had the same problems as me. that makes alot of sense though.

Don't touch anything. If the battery died the computer loses all it's learned memory, so any idle corrections and cruise fuel corrections are gone until a complete drive cycle is done. You need to just go drive it around, make sure it reaches operating temp and you cruise it for a lil while at 55+ mph. It'll straighten right out after that.
