I see that Velocity is becoming Motor Trend soon

Is this going to be a good thing? Don’t know anything about what Motor Trend has to offer. Velocity is by far my favorite channel.

It's pretty much the only channel I watch other than Science. Some of the stuff is blah but they do have pretty good stuff on for the majority of the day. I usually keep it on for background noise or in the garage when I'm putzing around

Other way around. Discovery Networks bought TEN (The Enthusiast Network) which owns Motor Trend. They will be rebranding most automotive content around the Motor Trend name.

Typical big business.. They see the little guys getting all the attention then they swoop them up, profit from them, and grow larger networks. Just like banks, etc. All in the name of the almighty dollar.
I personally like the old Roadkill on Youtube. But that's also now a thing of the past as big biz got their hands on them and now you have to pay to watch MotorTrendTV or wait months to catch it for free.

I usually wait for Roadkill. However, Hot Rod Garage is on MT and has some of the Roadkill spiri (make roached out cars fast)

I was skeptical too, but so far I love it. Tones of content any time with no commercials. They did a great job.
