I talked to pilot for a while, he was funny. I said the landing looked good, he goes there was no smoke or fire this time.

That helicopter is "stationed" at the airport in Howell. I drive past it everyday.

Pictures don't do it just, it's HUGE.

Sweet. I've never even been in a chopper. A friend of mine just picked up a new jet last week (pretty weird to say that).

That's actually him flying it the day he picked it up.

He actually lives in Florida. He came up here for the GT car event in August, flew down to SC and bought a race car of some kind (think it was a Lotus Elise Cup Car), flew home, bought another GT, and flew back up here two days later to watch them put the motor in (in the slower version this one replaced).

My Dad was air lifted from I-275 & I-96 in one after he got hit on his bike.

He died at the scene and once in the air. They brought him back twice. Awesome crew. They came to the ICU to meet me a couple days later. It was really cool of them to follow up and meet the family.

The Cessna 525a is a sweet jet for sure. A friend of mine is a copilot on a Cessna Citation X. A trip to FL would cost in the neighborhood of $12,000 - $15,000.

Lived the american dream. He's basically retired at this point, but he built up a commercial real estate co that owned something like 40k units in high-growth areas in the U.S. Eventually sold it to the public. Awesome guy, completely down to earth. Really makes you realize that the American dream is alive and well, and regular people who work hard and have a positive attitude can make anything happen.

Is that the same thing as a CJ3? I think that's what his new one is.

I think the 525a is a revised CJ2 with many of the refinements of the CJ3. Sweet jet for sure. Those have a slightly higher operating cost than the Cessna I fly.

Almost everynight I get to listen to Medflight coming over my house at about 3,000 feet You can hear that thing for a good 30 seconds before it comes over. Very impressive machine.
