I have been without a "car" for about a year. I just picked up a very clean 1993 Camaro Z28. I scooped it up for $3500. It has just 100K miles on it, and looks almost showroom new. I am told it has spent it's life in a heated garage, and has been stored winters, etc.... It has a few bolt-on's that I can see. I think it has a 3.73 gear. The tach reads about 2200 at 45mph in 3rd gear (4L60E). It has a Moroso cold air kit, air foil, 1LE type inlet, cooler thermostat, and a Edelbrock cat-back. The fan comes on at a cooler temp as well, so maybe it has some type of chip in it. I don't know exactly how to tell yet.
The car feels very solid. Unlike a few that I looked at before buying this one.

I want to put a set of headers and a good Y-pipe on it, but I am not sure which style or brand to get. I also don't know if I want to bother jacking the car 3 feet in the air to get headers under it. So I might just pay a shop to do it. I just don't know where to go these days. Any pointers, good sites for newb info, etc... would be great.

I know someone that messes with all F-body cars... 1BadAir aka Larry I am sure he can do it for a decent price.

BTW sweet car!

Sharp car Rob...that's a hell of a deal for $3500!

Those are tough to work on though, you should save up for an LS1 swap :)

good call on buying an f-body if that's a 93 those rims are from a 97-98 sweet ride make sure you buy long tube headers shorty's suck on those cars

Thanks. :) The car is that dark metallic color. I found it on Craigslist. We will see if I can stop myself from sinking a ton of money into this one. I think I might put some headers on it and a converter and see how it runs. I would like to get it into the low 13's/high 12's without ripping into the engine. It is speed density, so I am not sure how many parts I can put on it without the computer throwing a fit.
