LSS, I set my boots too close to the fire last weekend at the cabin. The leather/rubber is fine but the vinyl up by the top of the boot melted. Not just melted but melted though in one spot. Leaving one spot of the boot's foam around the cuff completely exposed in an area the size of a dime. How would you go about fixing it so over time my pants done wear on it making it worse? I paid a lot for these boots and even though I have had them 4-5 years they still have 10+ years left in them since they are just hunting boots. Any ideas?
