Is there any way to make a fox body hook with a bigblock ford in it?car is fully caged, adjustable uper and lower links, QA1 coil over adjustable shocks, anti roll bar, minitubbed with 28" tall quick time pro's, spool with 410 gears, QA1 adjustable front struts with tubular k member and a-arms. Car ways 2900 with small block, dont know yet with bigblock. 625 hp,583 ft lbs ,3000 stahl converter, c6 trans. just seems like alot more weight in front end of car. any thoughts?

work at it more, mess with shocks, tire pressure, new tires? its been done a million times. just gotta work at it it will come around

The guy my brother bought his sn95 from was running a 521 BBF that was making somewhere in the sevens all his car had was a spool gears slicks and double adjustable control arms I've always been told big block cars are always quite a handful

is that because of the added weight?

No not at all he was running drag radials and did nothing but melt them away in less then 1000 miles he said the slicks are what did it he went from spinning the 1/8th to yanking the front tires off the ground I'll see if I can find him to see exactly what was done to the suspension.

that would be awesome!! I dont mind taking the car to a shop but I would first like to try to get it right myself so I know how to tune the car, just dont know where to start. I can scale the car and I have a folder full of papers for the build of the car that may contain spring weights and all that stuff.

How to hook a bigblock ford. First you need a really big fishing line.... ( I tried) but I have the same problem with a small block lol try tire pressure first. Im running my drag radials at 13psi and after a run they come upto 15psi with an ok burnout also different rpm launches, like johnny said keep at it every car is different just be consistent that's key. Drag radials are fine I wouldn't switch to slicks right away there's plenty of guys out there going very fast with dr's. What size tire you have? also whats the pinion angle set at there's so many variables message teamz and just ask for some input it doesn't hurt to ask.

My guess would be the quick time pros. Put a real slick on it First i'd say and is it not hooking at the track or on some random street somewhere? what where your 60 ft times?

I had a 521 with a glide and 3.70 gears on 28/12.50 et streets. Rear suspension had double adjustable upper and lowers set at 2.75 negitive, anti roll with 4 banger springs and comp three way adj shocks. We ran the tires at 9psi cold, front suspension was qa1 10 way adj with limiters. I sprayed the out of the car out of the gate, it ran 8.40s with 1.24 60s consistently @160 mph. No need for fancy parts, mini tubs ect...... hope this helps. Vids are on you tube @ cobra tom

ran into some issues with one of the cylinder heads, so I am replacing them. will def get a hold of one of these guys when ready. Thanks for info
